Distribute Objects
Select pieces, then align them to each other (one piece: to the whole design). Distribute needs three or more.

Corner
Select a shape you drew. Drag a dot in a corner to round every corner; click a dot to pick that corner only (shift-click for more), click the shape for all of them again.
Pathfinder
Select two or more shapes you drew (shift-click or drag a box), then pick one. The new shape is sewn when you click Update Digitizing.
Shapes
Thread
Pick a shape, then drag on the design (shift: as wide as tall). It is digitized like the logo: satin where narrow, fill where wide.
Pen
Click to place points; drag while placing one to curve the line. Click the first point to close a filled shape. Enter or a double-click ends it as a line. Option-click a point to take its handles away (the last point: the next line starts straight). Backspace takes the last point back, Esc drops it.
